£250 donated to help the homeless

During the summer RRG Group organised a social media competition for each dealership to give back £250 to organisations within the local community. Followers on Twitter and Facebook to were asked to suggest worthy charities and organisations in the local area that would benefit greatly from the donation.

The number of responses received was overwhelming and RRG Huddersfield Toyota would like to thank everyone that took the time to make a suggestion. The submissions were wide and varied from children’s football clubs to organisations that helped with Autism and everything in between. It was a difficult decision, however RRG Huddersfield were pleased to donate the £250 to The Huddersfield Change Project.

The Huddersfield Change Project is an organisation in the community which focuses on helping to change the lives of the homeless in Huddersfield. Set up by Dave Kennedy and run by a group of Volunteers, The Huddersfield Change Project provides help to the most vulnerable in the community. They are currently working with three Hostels and the team have ambitious plans to have their own premises and open a soup kitchen in the future.

The team at RRG Huddersfield were happy to be able to help and hope our £250 donation will contribute to The Huddersfield Change Project future plans.
